Before joining Aviatour, Malou served as Accounting Manager for Islands Souvenirs. In her role, she was responsible for setting up the accounting system and performed financial analysis to streamline the operational functions of the company.

Prior to that, Malou served as an Accountant and Operation Manager for Linea Italia Group. Linea Italia Group is a high-end fashion retailer that sells products from fashion manufacturers like Versace and MaxMara. Her duties included strategic financial planning, and managing the accounting, controllership, supply chain, and procurement activities of its Cebu operations.

Malou is a Certified Public Account. She also completed the Basic Management Program Course from the Asian Institute of Management in 1999 and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Cebu in 1994.

In her spare time, Malou provides Tax and Accounting consulting services to small and medium sized businesses. She also enjoys reading, learning new things, cooking and eating out.
